Meet Nina J. Gawlik, PsyD

Dr. Gawlik received a Doctorate in Psychology from the Miami Institute of Psychology of the Caribbean Center for Advanced Studies and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Florida.
As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Nina J. Gawlik provides a variety of services and offers comprehensive and individualized evaluation and treatment services for children (from 3 years of age), adolescents, and adults. Psychological, Psycho-Educational, and Forensic Evaluations are provided to assess personality and emotional functioning, ADHD, intellectual ability and achievement level, surgery clearance, abuse issues, memory impairment, children with behavioral issues, parenting or custody planning, and civil litigation.
Dr. Gawlik also provides individual, marriage and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults for a variety of issues (e.g. depression, stress, grief, etc.). Treatment is tailored to meet individualized needs in a warm, friendly, and safe environment. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and includes Behavior Modification and Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal, and Humanistic treatment modalities. Play therapy is provided for young children to give a safe and effective means of expressing their feelings and experiences in order to work through conflicts. As part of treating children, Dr. Gawlik conducts parenting sessions in order to provide the parents with support and strategies to utilize in the home or school environments.
